Niniani is a personal journey of a Georgian-German couple. What began as a passion for owning vineyards in Kakheti and making wine for friends evolved into a mission to share the soul of Georgia with wine enthusiasts in Germany.
No. We are small-batch producers. We focus on handcrafted, limited-edition Saperavi made with traditional methods, ensuring that every bottle reflects the authentic heritage of the Kakheti region.
The Heritage & Process
Saperavi is one of the world's rare 'teinturier' grapes, meaning both the skin and the pulp are red. This results in a deep, opaque wine with intense flavors of blackberry and cherry, naturally high in antioxidants.
The Qvevri is a large clay vessel buried underground. We ferment our wine in these vessels with the skins (the 'mother'), following an 8,000-year-old tradition recognized by UNESCO for its cultural significance.
Yes. We follow ancient winemaking traditions in Kakheti, using natural fermentation and minimal intervention to preserve the purity and depth of the Georgian terroir.
Availability in Germany
Because of our limited production, Niniani is supplied primarily to fine-dining restaurants. Private buyers can access our wine exclusively through the Niniani Allocation Club or during events at our GÄSTEHOF storage in Wendland.
We host special events and tastings at our storage location in the Wendland region. These events are the perfect opportunity to experience the 'Wine with a Soul' and learn about the Qvevri process in person.
The Allocation Club
No, there are no membership fees, commitments, or obligations. Joining the club simply places you on our private access list to secure 6-bottle cases of our limited Saperavi allocations.
Allocations are released seasonally based on our harvest and aging process. As a club member, you will receive an email notification as soon as a new vintage of Niniani is ready for delivery.
Shipping & Quality
Our wines are bottled in Georgia and exported to Germany with full certification and EU-compliant labeling. We use specialized, climate-controlled transport to ensure the wine arrives at our German warehouse in perfect condition.
We provide reliable shipping across Germany and the EU. Specific rates are calculated at checkout, but we strive to offer the most efficient and safe delivery options for our Allocation Club members.
Tasting & Serving
Yes. Due to the natural concentration of the Saperavi grape and the Qvevri aging process, we recommend decanting the wine for at least 30-60 minutes. This allows the firm tannins to soften and the ripe cherry and plum aromas to fully open.
For the best experience, serve our dry red Qvevri wine at 16-18°C. This temperature perfectly balances the silk-like texture and the complex berry-licorice notes noted by sommeliers.
Our wines are built for development. Thanks to the structured density of the Kakheti Saperavi, Niniani can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years to allow more complex, earthy characteristics to emerge.
Gifts & Corporate
Yes. Our 6-bottle allocations make an extraordinary gift for clients or partners who appreciate rare, handcrafted traditions. Please contact us directly for personalized arrangements for your business in Germany.
